Conducting Relay Race Attempts World Record!

One of the highlights (and most surreal moments) of the Conductors Guild 2010 Annual Conference in Copenhagen last January was the attempt to establish a world’s record for “Most Conductors Conducting in One Concert.”

The videos below chronicle the ensuing musical relay race – before, during, after…onstage and backstage. After a brief introduction, about 100 conference attendees each took a turn (and really hammed it up!) with Elgar’s Pomp & Circumstance March, Op. 39, #1 during a performance by the The Danish National Symphony Orchestra.

Enjoy!
