Welcome back to Podium Notes!

Our latest release of Podium Notes is here and we have, as always, a great assortment of articles, interviews, and reviews for you.

We’re thrilled to have the final installments (parts 3 and 4) of our 4-part interview with Sir Roger Norrington – including sound clips! – from CG member Paul Wegman Taylor.

In addition, Leonard Atherton reviews a fascinating look at the life of British composer William Alwyn, and Burton Zipser brings us International and National News from the conducting world.

I hope you enjoy these pieces, and encourage you to let us know what you think in the “comments” section after each article. Your feedback is very valuable to us.

And don’t forget – we want to see you all at the 2011 CG Annual Conference in San Francisco from January 6-9,  2011. Go to the Annual Conference page on the CG Website for more information. It’s going to be another great conference and you’ll want to attend to meet your colleagues and partake of the great events that are planned.

And finally, we encourage all CG members to submit  articles, reviews, interviews, etc. for inclusion in Podium Notes. It’s your newsletter and we want to make it as robust and relevant as possible.

Wishing you all the best,
David Leibowitz, Editor
